Multiple Middle Tennessee Sam’s Club Locations to Participate in Operation Troop Aid Donation Drive to Support Men & Women in Uniform

Nashville, Tenn. (October 3, 2017) — Several Middle Tennessee Sam's Club locations will soon lend a helping hand to support U.S. military personnel serving overseas. The retail chain is teaming with Nashville-based Operation Troop Aid (OTA) to collect donations that will go toward bundled care packages to be shipped to our men and women in uniform.

On October 7 through October 13 (10 AM to close), OTA staff members will be onsite at select Sam’s Club locations to collect donations for the care packages. Mid-state locations include Murfreesboro, Franklin, Antioch, Hendersonville, Bellevue and Clarksville. A donation of $40 ships one care package (filled with Sam’s Club products) to an active duty service member, however any dollar amount is encouraged. A $5 donor receives an OTA camo wristband.

"At Sam's Club, we're grateful for the sacrifice our nation’s military men and women are making in service to our country," says Sam's Club market manager, Anthony Ausderau. "We're also honored to help them during their time of service through the collaboration with Operation Troop Aid and our members as we collect Care Packages and kind words to send to our troops."

OTA CEO Mark Woods adds, "Operation Troop Aid is thrilled about this collaboration with Sam’s Club. Our troops deserve our unequivocal support for their sacrifices. They stand on the front lines for all our freedoms. We are teaming up to send them some love and support from home."

As an entertainment based charity, each year OTA selects and presents the Operation Troop Aid® Chris Kyle Patriot Award to an entertainer / artist that best exemplifies the spirit of patriotic service to our troops and Americanism in their art. It does not necessarily reflect events in that year, as it may be a historical grouping of their achievements to promote our troops and American patriotism. It is an award that embodies a sense of service, supporting our American troops and an overall outlook of honoring our constitution and promoting the freedom that our troops provide.
