Festival Brings Together Country Music and Football; Concert-goers are Encouraged to Make Financial Donations to Operation Troop Aid® Onsite at Event

Nashville, Tenn. (July 20, 2017) — This year’s Touchdown & Tunes Tailgate Party in Mayfield, Kentucky will bring country music and football together to help benefit United States military personnel stationed overseas. This year’s festival will be held on Labor Day weekend, Saturday, September 2, at the War Memorial Stadium in Mayfield. Musical talent includes legendary country music group Restless Heart, Cody Johnson, Anthony Smith, Bryan Kent, and more.

Concertgoers are encouraged to make a financial donation to Operation Troop Aid® (OTA), the event’s hand-selected military charity. Staff members will be available onsite to collect donations.

“It’s always an honor to partner with events and artists that support our military,” says OTA CEO Mark Woods. “Touchdowns & Tunes is that kind of event and I am looking forward to a great time!”

In addition to live music, the weekend's football games will be broadcast live on-site. For more information on Touchdowns & Tunes or to purchase tickets, click HERE.

To date, OTA has sent nearly $11 million dollars in care package products to our troops serving overseas. To give to the cause, visit operationtroopaid.org. "Like" OTA's official Facebook Page HERE.

About Operation Troop Aid®

Operation Troop Aid® is an IRS-certified non-profit 501c3 and Combined Federal Campaign member CFC#26493. Founded in 2004 by 21-year military veteran, Mark Woods, OTA partners with entertainment initiatives and provides care packages for U.S. service members with revenue generated through professional event promotions and public financial generosity. OTA strives to make a positive difference and inspire the armed forces by letting them know Americans stand with them. As an entertainment based charity, each year OTA selects and presents The Operation Troop Aid® Patriot Award to an entertainer / artist that best exemplifies the spirit of patriotic service to our troops and Americanism in their art. It does not necessarily reflect events in that year, as it may be a historical grouping of their achievements to promote our troops and American patriotism. It is an award that embodies a sense of service, supporting our American troops and an overall outlook of honoring our constitution and promoting the freedom that our troops provide.
